How come I never heard this masterpiece before?
Impromptu Charity Stream for Moore, OK
This is really short notice but I’m seeing if I can get a few artists to draw with me and take art requests in exchange for donations to the Red Cross. The Tornado that hit Moore was pretty bad, and your dollars can help.
Any artists that know their way around broadcasting onto Tiny Chat and can pick up a pen tonight, would be welcome to join. This is really a spur of the moment thing, so planning is… limited.
But the rules are simple. If you have a request for an active or willing artist to draw, make a donation to the Red Cross in their honor (this usually means typing in their e-mail address) and you’ll get a drawing in return. Live.

8 yrs have passed and I still get the same result.
I didn’t like One Piece in 2005 and I still don’t like it now. I wonder why tho. People worship this show and its EXTREMELY popular but I can’t get down with it.Before you write me nasty messages, I’m not hating on the anime i just don’t understand why it’s so popular.
Most people have to watch a good amount of the show before they can have an understanding of it. One of the reasons it’s so popular is that it’s not afraid to get weird and have really strong HIGHS and really strong LOWS. One minute you could be looking at some ridiculous character and the next you might be crying over his tragic past and the depth that the author goes to show you the character’s suffering. It never stays stagnant, either. Every arc is completely different from the next (an arc centered around racist/oppressive fish people, another about the crew helping a princess save her desert kingdom from an evil organization, the next about going to an island in the sky…), but all the concepts and characters introduced are never wasted. They almost ALWAYS come back, even stuff from the first episode.
Plus Oda (the author) is VERY creative. He has completely original takes on concepts like mermaids/fish people, cyborgs, angels, zombies, and weird species like long necks, long arms, long legs, giants, dolls… and each island is different from the next. On the Grand Line for example, there are 4 different kinds of islands (summer, winter, spring, and autumn) that each have their own seasons; and because all the islands are isolated, some of them are still stuck in the prehistoric era while others are hundreds of years ahead of their time.
Plus, the characters are well written. They all have their reasons for how they act, and they all of their dreams, and they all grow during the show. Just because a character looks weird or has strange habits, or hell, is an animal, doesn’t mean that they don’t have depth. Dogs, whales, reindeers, and even boats have massive amounts of depth and character development. Race and species don’t matter when it comes to Oda’s characters and how they’ll likely affect you.
Yeah, One Piece might not be everyone’s cup of tea, but it’s very popular for a reason. The one thing that I recommend is: don’t take the show too seriously. You’ll know when the story is about to get serious, but everything else is supposed to be lighthearted and fun. Oda gave Luffy rubber powers because he wanted a fun and silly main character.
One Piece was supposed to last only 5 years—it’s been 15. Do you know why?

People tell me they get into paper..but ive never seen them outside of my bathroom! and only one or two. I guess I will just try to keep tings extra clean! A clean house will have less bugs! (and less I have to face the dilemma of having to kill or not)
Kill or be killed. But yeah. I should really clear away the excess amount of paper I store.

How does adding a source to images to work? I mean, like. How do you make an extension that points back to the original blog post? Is there an automated way to do so, or do you have to do that manually

I followed quite a bit of Paranatural fans, yet there isn’t much Paranatural on my dash :( I’m not a super great artist, but if there’s anyone that has any request pass me message. I’m making some doodles atm =:3
Catching on with Ava’s Demon. Unless alot of people’s top 5 webcomics really needed fodder for something to be in a #5 slot, this comic really makes me feel uneasy. And it’s not because of the mood, setting, characters or story. All of those things seem very shallow so far.
It makes me feel uneasy because it really reminds me of something that bleedman would write if he wrote something orignal. And that’s not a good thing at all either.
I wanna start a Skype group that centered around discussing web-comics we find and reading them together and stuff. But my biggest issue with group stuff is that one creep/douchebag that tend to ruin the mood for everyone. Oh, and people hooking up and making drama.
Either way, it’s up in the air for one of the things I’d like to try doing.
